Visitors to the unique protected area of Ol Pejeta Conservancy can directly help preserve wildlife. Apart from the last two northern white rhinos and the Big Five, it helps communities nearby with health and education initiatives.
This informative walk brings you up close and personal with the sights, smells, and sounds of the African bush accompanied by one of the seasoned armed rangers. There is no better way to start the day! Beginning at the Morani Information Center at 6:30 am, this walk provides guests with an opportunity to learn about game routes, spoor identification, and Ol Pejeta’s insects, birds, and smaller mammals. Although the walk is not difficult, given you will be walking for roughly 3 hours, a reasonable degree of fitness is needed. Visitors must make their way to the starting point.
Your safari at Ol Pejeta offers an opportunity to help wildlife, rather than just a tour. Here, you will be involved in actual conservation efforts and help to create lasting change even after you depart.
You'll be guided by experienced rangers who will share their knowledge of the wildlife, plants, and ecosystem. Expect to see various animals in their natural habitat and learn about their behaviors.
The terrain can vary, but the walks are generally designed to be accessible for most fitness levels.
Comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking on uneven terrain are recommended. Carry sun-cream and a hat.
